My diaper idea

I remembered keeping my kids' flat cotton diapers for the past 5 years. 1 have 28 pieces of them and hate the idea of using the flat diapers like those old days...folding the diaper every time i need to use it for diapering my baby. My 4th baby is on the way..and i really want to prepare something different for him.
Here's the idea..Instead of folding the flat diapers again, i change the diapers into modern cloth diaper..
My flat diapers are from the Anakku brand. So i'm going to show all of you how to sew them..

First, fold the flat diaper twice.

Measure around 9 inches from the edge of the folded diaper before sewing it.

This is how it looks after sewing 9 inches from the edge of the diaper.

Then flattened the middle area of the diaper like this..

Trace gusset part from a piece of paper. The top part  is the waist area of the diaper, and below is the front area. Then cut along the line drawn from the paper. The cuttings from the diaper can be inserted into the middle area to give a thicker soaking area.

Then place the diaper on a piece of cloth. Make sure the front area of the cloth facing the inner area of the diaper. Sew along the gusset  and cut off the extra cloth.

Sew elastic band at the gusset area.

Turn out the diaper like this, sew the cloth at the waist and front area of the diaper

Cute... Embellishing old flat diaper. Easy drying ...And malaysian made too because all made from our Malaysian flat cotton diaper, Anakku...
